Back to School

Every morning, Nelisa stood on the threshold of the community hall, a silent witness to a parade of quiet heartbreak. She watched the township children in their daily walk to school, each one clinging to the pride of their "best clothes."

But a closer look revealed  the frayed hems, the faded fabric, and the small, dusty feet braving the walk without shoes. For the few that did have shoes, they were scuffed and damaged.

Watching the children go by, she realized that a uniform is more than just fabric; it is a shield of dignity. In that moment she vowed that no child would pass her door feeling less than worthy and so she resolved to help change their story—and the Back-to-School program was born.

Every child belongs and every dream matters. This program ensures that no student starts their journey lacking the basic necessities most of us take for granted. Instead, they will walk toward their future with a straight back, protected feet, and the unwavering dignity they deserve.
